Things That Lead To Happiness And Fulfilment In Life

[17:13, 2/04/2021] : Yes I understand what you mean, and it’s quite unfortunate. This is how the Bible puts it “What does it profit a man who gains the whole world, but loses his own soul” True happiness comes from a life lived according to God’s will. It is synonymous with becoming the proverbial good tree that bears good fruits – a good, decent, happy and fruitful life on earth leading to eventual reunion with God in heaven. All of these is what Christ tells us in His message to mankind. I’m glad I’m talking to you about this on Good Friday😀
[17:59, 2/04/2021] : Everything done outside of the will of God eventually turns to ashes that gets blown away into oblivion. The worldly happiness turns to sorrows. Of the top things that gives fulfilment and pleasure in life, material things ranks 5th. Love ranks 4th, Meaning or doing something that has real meaning or being truly good ranks 3rd. Actualizing the sense of inbuilt creativity and applying it to life around you is 2nd, and finally when you rise to the level of seeing God, the author of life in all experiences of life and in all shades – the 1st or the ultimate thing that leads to real fulfilment. All of these are covered by God’s instructions to us. But, for all these stages of consciousness, there are counterfeits, which are what our world in its hypocrisy focuses on. In our country, emphasis is on material things which is the least satisfying. Thus other areas of life suffers. A Yoruba proverb says you are looking for money (signifying property, wealth, riches etc) as you go, but you meet dignity and fulfilment and happiness on the way (shouldn’t you turn back and be at peace). If you eventually find the money, what will you use it to buy? It can’t be happiness, dignity or fulfilment because you have met those on the way. It will have to be other things money can do as the root of all evil. In our society we tend to seek money and material things in order to use it for evil. The right thing is to use it for God ordained purpose and then focus on other things in life that gives fulfilment,
